Privacy Policy

A personal site, run by me, collecting as little as it can. Here is all of it.

What I collect

If you subscribe: your email address, plus the IP and time you signed up. The email is how I send the newsletter. The IP and time are just proof you asked to join.

If you accept cookies: Google Analytics counts your visit. Decline and it never loads.

Always: my host records standard server logs, like any website.

That is everything. Nothing else is tracked.

Who else sees it

MailerLite stores the mailing list and sends the emails. It is a Lithuanian company, so your address stays in the EU.

Netlify hosts the site. Google gets analytics, but only if you accepted.

I never sell or share the list. Anything you buy is bought on Ko-fi, so this site never sees your payment details.

Cookies

One cookie, named next-analytics-consent. It remembers your yes or no for a year, and holds nothing else. Clear it and the banner asks again.

How long I keep it

Your email, until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and it works instantly. Logs and analytics expire on their own.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, fix it, delete it, or take it elsewhere. Email hello@bertacodes.com and I will sort it within a month, usually the same week. You do not have to explain why.

Unhappy with how I handled it? You can complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate, or the equivalent authority in your own country.

Changes and contact

If anything here changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions go to hello@bertacodes.com.
